Inspired in London’s Winter Wonderland, this year for the first time, Eduardo VII Park has during the festive season its first Winter Wonderland market.
From 8th December to 8th January, the park is transformed into a melting point for the coldest days, filled with Christmas spirit, lights, flavours, and scents.
At Wonderland market, children will give their letters to Santa Claus, surprised by some reindeer for a selfie photo, families will head for a night of ice-skating, or couples will go for kissing under the Giant Wheel while holding some cotton candy.
Along the tree alley, the 57 lined wooden stalls offer local products or, made by local suppliers. From clothes, accessories and handcrafted jewelry by local designers to homeware and local gourmandises , such as liqueurs , pastries, and jams.
There it is hard to resist to the tempting Christmas scents in the air…from cinnamon, chocolate waffles, hot wine and even popcorn, the hardest will be to choose which treat to get.
Once you have done enough shopping, head for the ice rink, but first grab some warm hot chocolate or tea, so that you can survive the waiting line.
Facing park’s lighted trees at one side and Avenida da Liberdade and Tagus River facing on the other side, Eduardo VII Park is indeed the best place to enjoy Wonderland Giant Wheel this season.
